Adam Anglin is a self-taught fine artist and musician living and working in Denver, Colorado. His work explores connections between the natural world and synthetic forms. Working as a graphic designer, Adam picked painting back up at the beginning of 2023. My work is intended to create tension in the spaces of our lives where we feel isolated, left waiting and longing for something more. These feelings, often fleeting, are met in my work with burst of color and harmonious moments of disruption. I often think our lives oscillate between these realities more than we care to imagine. My work is aimed at creating those intersections and letting the viewer navigate this liminal space. “I see the tension in my work not as dark and gloomy but one where pop art influences and vibrancy in color choices can come through. The harmony that can exist in a thoughtful composition leaves me feeling restored rather than wanting to retreat.” - Adam Anglin With a background in graphic design, all of Adam’s works start digitally in the composition phase before moving into painting. This process allows him space to consider the composition and color relationships that will best serve the piece.
