Tatiana Cardellicchio is a photographic artist known for her self-portraits, exhibited in prestigious national and international exhibitions like Imagenation Paris (2023) and New York (2024). In 2024 her first full project "Impatto" wins silver prize at "Prix de la Photographie" in Paris. Tatiana's work explores the deep connection between the human essence, nature, and the surrounding world, using self-portraiture and portraiture as tools of expression and discovery. Through her images, she investigates the interplay between the body and the landscape, where the human figure is not just an observer but an integral part of a harmonious whole. Her photographs, suspended in time, transform natural elements like rocks, water, wind, and trees into metaphors of resilience, transformation, and belonging. Through her visual language, Cardellicchio creates meditative spaces—places of stillness and reflection where time feels suspended. She invites viewers to immerse themselves in these spaces, rediscovering their connection with nature and their own inner world. For her, photography is a tool of discovery and contemplation, capable of crystallizing fleeting moments into universal symbols of beauty, connection, and harmony. In 2018, she returned to south Italy, embarking on an ongoing personal journey that profoundly influenced her work. This return to her roots allowed her to delve into themes of identity, emotion, and symbiosis with the environment. Her project "IMPATTO" (2019) is a cornerstone of her artistic production. Developed within the Porto Cesareo Natural Reserve, it invites reflection on the possibility of inhabiting a place without overpowering it, promoting a gentle, respectful interaction with the landscape. In parallel, "La dittatura dei petali" examines the symbolic power of flowers—delicate yet pervasive elements often associated with fragility and beauty, but also capable of revealing dynamics of control and social expectations. In this work, flowers become visual metaphors of oppression and resistance, exploring the tension between nature’s apparent lightness and the weight of cultural conventions it can embody.
